Learn more at Rosie Lynch for Oklahoma

The Oklahoma Democratic Veterans Federation strongly supports the election of Rose Lynch to Oklahoma House District 18. With two grandfathers, her father and stepfather, twin sister and nephews and a large circle of friends serving in or retired from the US Armed Forces, Rosie has a good understanding of the problems facing veterans and military families. These include lack of easy access to clinics, hospitals and mental health professionals, and of transportation to medical appointments; insufficient access to affordable housing, and to housing upgrades required for service-related disabilities. Veteran homelessness is a major issue in rural communities, as is access to quality fresh foods. Families with a father or mother stationed overseas often struggle financially.

In her work with the unhoused population of Okmulgee County, Rose Lynch encounters many Veterans who feel invisible, their needs too often unmet or not even discussed. More services are needed, as is information concerning available ones. As a legislator she will work to direct more funds to rural communities to make stable and affordable veterans’ housing available. She will work to assist military families suffering financially while a spouse, partner or parent is on active duty. She will help veterans connect with services already available, and will hold meet and greets to listen and learn ways to better address issues facing rural veterans.
